If enabled, (\fIbf\fR is \fBTRUE\fR), the \fBnodelay()\fR function causes \fBgetch\fR(3XCURSES) to return \fBERR\fR if no input is ready.  When disabled, \fBgetch()\fR blocks until a key is pressed.
